So there’s some movie called “Magic Mike” out. Unfortunate that the mere mention of the name doesn’t default to the Orlando DJ, who was really a huge hip-hop/bass pioneer. I imagine that literally the only reason he’s not more known today is geography. What’s interesting is that his work existed before there was much of clear line between “regular hip-hop” and “Miami bass;” as a result, a lot of his stuff was the best of both worlds.
